Founded by husband-and-wife team Kevin and Eunicke Tuvera, this family-run Filipino restaurant began with a simple dream to bring the Philippines' bold street-food flavours to Northern Ireland, done properly.

Our story started small, with handcrafted longganisa (Filipino sausages) that quickly built a loyal following across Belfast. That early success gave us the confidence to open our own restaurant, and today Platito by Mangan is proudly recognised as one of Northern Ireland's top-rated Filipino restaurants, holding a five-star customer rating and featured in the McKenna's Guide Best in Ireland 2026.

In the kitchen, chef Kevin draws on years of culinary experience from running his own catering business in the Philippines to working in professional kitchens across the US and Northern Ireland to craft authentic Filipino dishes that keep guests coming back. Our best-loved dishes include the crispy Lechon Kawali (deep-fried pork belly), smoky Chicken Inasal grilled to perfection, sweet-savoury Pork BBQ skewers, hearty Pork Sisig, comforting Sinigang, and stir-fried Pancit Bihon-Canton all served the traditional Filipino way. Eunicke leads front-of-house with the warmth that's made Platito feel like home for so many of our guests.
